The War and Treaty Oakland Concert reviews
Too Short Too Enjoy and Egos BIG TIME
The guys clearly must have used recorded vocals, as is common for highly choreographed acts, except during the acoustic section. I'm pleased they included that part so their true abilities could shine through. However, it was somewhat disrespectful to dedicate a Beatles song to the parents, considering most of them were too young for that genre. The actual show lasted less than an hour - quite underwhelming for a main act! Coming from the NKOTBSB concert two weeks prior, my son and I were greatly disappointed.
After the performance, while leaving the fair, we found ourselves parked next to their tour bus. They were outside playing until we approached, then quickly retreated into the bus. Despite my son's excited shouts, James and Kendall only gave a brief wave before disappearing inside. They remained aboard while my son and nephews waited patiently for an autograph. Without going into further details to preserve their image, I must express my disappointment with their behavior that night. My nephew, only six years old, cried on the way home, unable to understand why they wouldn't come out for an autograph. Having encountered numerous top stars and attended countless major shows, I have never had such a negative experience with "celebrities," particularly newcomers. It seems these guys have much to learn if they wish to sustain their careers. Already, my nephew is seeking a new favorite group!
